Shirt-Making Magic Workshop
with Janet Pray and Islander Industrial Sewing Shortcuts

Students spent two fun and informative days with Islander Sewing Systems instructor, and "time-saving sewing queen" extraordinaire, Janet Pray.

Workshop attendees learned from Janet's expert instruction while she demonstrated how to sew custom made shirts the professional way, using industrial sewing shortcuts. Students then constructed their own dress shirts using the Islander Classic Men's Dress Shirt pattern. The results were fabulous! Students learned first-hand incredible time-saving sewing techniques including: fine topstitching, creating a lined back yoke without hand stitching, how to sew a two-piece collar, how to sew a sleeve and attach a cuff, all without pins or basting. These great-looking shirts were finished just in time for Valentine's day!

Attendees also enjoyed a complimentary lunch both days provided by Haberman Fabrics, a $20.00 Classic Dress Shirt Islander Sewing System pattern, and a $20.00 coupon to apply to class materials. A wonderful and informative time was had by all!
