HABERMAN FABRICS CELEBRATES 50 YEARS! What was "The Big Bopper" doing at Haberman Fabrics on Saturday, September 20th? Singing our theme song, "Chantilly Lace" of course, and "Happy Birthday" too, as we celebrated 50 fabulous years in June Cleaver style. A parade of fabulous 50's finned beauties - two Hudsons, a Cadillac and an Edsel - were parked at the front store entrance on Main Street to announce our big party! Staff members came dressed for the occasion too, dressed in full circle, appliquéd poodle skirts, rolled cuff dungarees, saddle shoes, cat's eye glasses, and a vintage apron or two. Customers enjoyed 50% off Fabric Specials throughout the day, and in-between shopping for fabric, sampled our tasty 50's refreshments, including swanky franks, mac and cheese, and red pop. Each costumed customer received a $5 Haberman Fabrics Gift Card, and had their picture snapped as part of our Nifty 50's Fashion Contest. Susan Boczek, dressed as a diner waitress complete with menu and food tray, took home a fabulous $50 Gift Card "tip" for Best Costume. Congratulations, Susan!
