Please note the skill level when selecting a class:

- BEGINNER: These classes are suited for the beginner sewer, one who has little or no experience.

- ADVANCED BEGINNER - INTERMEDIATE: These classes are suited for the advanced beginner to intermediate sewers. Students should be able to use a sewing machine and follow printed directions.

INTERMEDIATE - ADVANCED: These classes are suited for the intermediate to advanced sewers. Students should understand basic garment and construction techniques and be very comfortable using a sewing machine on their own.

ADVANCED: These classes are suited for long-time sewers. Students should be very comfortable with using sewing machines, reading and following printed directions, and have advanced knowledge on garment and construction techniques.


100 - SO YOU WANT TO LEARN TO SEW
Are you "sewing illiterate"? If so, this class is for you. The goal of this course is to prepare you for beginner-level classes and basic home sewing. No projects will be assigned. You will learn about stitch settings, threading the machine, and bobbin winding. You will also be taught about notions, interfacings, and sewing patterns.

101 - BEGINNER SKIRT
Adults and teens learn the basics including: how to read and follow a pattern, and select an appropriate fabric, while making a stylish A-line skirt with a zipper and waistband, using Burda's #8344. Learn quick and easy skills to apply to any garment. Students will learn to select appropriate fabrics in the first class session.

135 - COMMERCIAL PATTERNS ALTERATIONS WORKSHOP
The focus of this class will be on basic alterations to any commercial paper pattern. You will learn how to shorten or lengthen sleeves, pant legs, and skirts; shorten or length bodices in dresses and crotches in pants. This class will also show you how to increase or decrease the waist and hip areas on any garment pattern.
