Sew Simple Perfect Wrap

Materials:

  • 1 2/3 yds. 60” wide fabric OR
  • 1 1/2 yds 54” wide fabric
  • Matching thread

Equipment:

  • Tape Measure
  • Marking chalk
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Pins

Instructions:

  1. “Square” fabric by tearing or pulling thread and cutting.
  2. Fold fabric in half lengthwise, matching selvages. Fold in half crosswise matching folds.

  3. Mark arc from fold to selvage. Position tape measure at centerfold corner by pinning through at 30” (60” fabric) or 27” (54” fabric). Pivot tape from pinned point marking regularly across width of fabric. Pin all four layers together within markings. Cut on marked line. (See Diagram A)

  4. Open fabric one fold, keeping cut edges together. Measure 24” on the 60” fabric or 20” on 54” fabric on fold from cut edge, mark. Draw a chalk line 15” long from marked point perpendicular to fold. Position template on the marked line 5” from fold, mark around template for arm openings. (See Diagram B) Cut openings through both layers.
  5. Open to full circle. Roll hem all cut edges.
