Keep-it-Together Scarf

MATERIALS:
- 1/4 - 3/8 yd each of two fabrics
- Thread
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Tear (or cut) one rectangle of each fabric.
Rectangle = [finished length + 1"] x [finished width + 1"] Finished
length range: 35" (short) - 45" (long)
2. Fold each rectangle in half lengthwise, right sides together. Create
the eye opening by sewing 5 inches on the long side at one end of each
piece. Press each seam flat, then open.
3. Turn one rectangle right side out. Slide one tube inside the other
at the sewn ends, right sides together and matching seams. Stitch together
around tube end. Press seam flat.
4. Sew contrasting layers together starting at ending stitch of eye opening.
Press flat, then open. Turn right side out.
5. Fold in lower hem edges 1/2". Slip stitch closed. Press.
To wear, drape
scarf around neck. Draw scarf end through eye opening. Adjust to fill
neckline as desired.
