View A is a petal sleeve curving in an overlap at the wrist with an unusual waistline fastening, dart shaping. ENSEMBLES

Making these variations requires the pattern pieces included in Master Pattern #400. Instructions for 4 garments. View A is a pintucked long dress, View B is a short sleeved jacket, View C is a 2-piece long dress, and View D is an oversize long vest. The same fabric can be used for all pieces, but it is an excellent place to combine fabric coordinates, too. Views A, B and D are finished with a considerable amount of binding fabric strips as reflected in yardage requirements.

COATS AND JACKETS

Making these variations requires the pattern pieces included in Master Pattern #400. Take this coat to any length, long or short, and any season depending on fabric. View A has a big shawl collar converting to a high or V neckline. Unlined, cuffs fold back and raw edges are covered by trim. View B is a lined coat embellished with roving, couched yarn and bobbin work accents. View C is quilted and reverses for two coats in one, which can become a slashed coat at any time. View D is a car coat, one layer with lacing to finish the edges. All have patch pockets.

BOMBER JACKETS

Making these variations requires the pattern pieces included in Master Pattern #400. Bombers are great with pants, but might be paired also with skirts or dresses. Views A and B have collars, View C and D more open neckline treatments. All work easily on either small or more ample figures with the relaxed styling. Each can be casual or dressy depending on the fabric. The soft lines mean fairly easy garments and lightweight soft fabrics should be chosen rather than crisp ones. The eyelash fabric used in View D is instructed for handling tips, but other fabrics would be suitable as well.

Making these variations requires the pattern pieces included in Master Pattern #400. View A is double breasted with an off-side extension. Stand-up collar permits in-seam buttonholes. A multitude of yarns are couched on in a grid design. View B goes shapely belted in to accent the asymmetrical hemline. Single breasted, it is outlined by exterior facings all around the edge. View C converts from a multi-row stitched high neck buttoned, to one side opened revealing a beaded surface. Pockets repeat the lapel angle. Special Bonus Jacket, too!
