Unless otherwise noted, recommended care for all Home Decorating fabrics is dry clean or upholstery clean with a solvent based cleaner only.

Railroaded Fabric: When the mill weaves a design across the fabric from selvedge to selvedge, it is called "railroaded". (Like the ties of railroad tracks.) Up the roll: Means that the design is woven along the length of the fabric, up the roll.

Railroaded designs are very suitable for upholstery, cornices, pillows, cushions, and other decorative accents, but generally do not work as well for duvets, bedspreads, draperies, or other uses where long lengths of fabric are needed. Select "up the roll" designs for long lengths. In the pictures below, each railroaded design is already rotated 90º to show you the correct image.
